Goodbye Mullet!

Parker had his first haircut! He did such a great job, he liked her combing his hair, thought the buzzing or the clippers was interesting and he was a little upset when we had to hold his head so she could cut the back along his neck. Best of all she gave him a blue sucker after so his face mouth and hands were all blue lol. After seeing him with his new do, i asked myself why didn't we do this before he looks like a little boy now, i guess we are so use to having a girl and never having to take her to get her haircut that young.

The next day.

Hes in love......

with his Binky's. We had lost them all but 1 so today we went to the store to get some new ones. I opened them for him when we got home he was so happy and couldn't decide which one he wanted so he had to have both in (or near) his mouth.

Bowling....

With my two little brothers, its funny how they are my little brother but for some reason i am the little one lol. My youngest Ryan (on the right) is moving back to Washington to live with his dad and i haven't spent anytime with him sense he has been here or Rodney lately so i figured we would go bowling (about the only thing you can do in Fernley NV). We had so much fun Rodney and i were on fire the first game but the second game Ryan came back around and beat both of us, then we had lunch. Something i wish we would of done more of spent time together. Its crazy how life gets busy and some things you take for granite, and it takes you to lose something to learn your lesson.

Squaw Vally

Our friends the O'Connells live in Orange County, and they were on vacation in Truckee and we were in Reno on a Sunday so Justin took the Monday off and we spent the day with them and their friends that joined them on their vacation. What a fun day with a great group of people we rode the cable car up the mountain had a picnic lunch, enjoyed the surroundings, had a little snow ball fight yes we found a little bit of snow. We thought the girls weren't ready to go ice skating yet so we just walked on the ice, Bridgitt loved it but it was "really cold." It was so neat to see our friends its been to long and we meet drew for the first time.

Sleepy Head

After swim we came home played out side a little and had dinner, miss sassy pants got upset with daddy because he put her ranch in the wrong spot on her plate so she layed down pouting and next thing we knew she was asleep and it was 6:30 i put her in her bed and she slept till 8:00 this morning.

Our Garden

We have a community garden with our neighbor Larry at his house across the street. We had a little winter garden but started it late. This is our summer garden all from seed and Bridgitt would sprinkle grow dust after she planted them and man did it grow. We had red(different kinds) and yellow tomatoes, strawberries, lettuce, arugula, spinach, bell peppers, jalapenos, carrots, beans, peas, zucchini, squash, acorn squash, eggplant, cucumbers, corn, cantaloupe, watermelon, pumpkins (3 different kinds) and sunflowers seeded and ornamental. I remember helping and eating vegetables from my grandmas garden growing up, so i really enjoy having one of my own and giving that experience to my kids. Bridgitt always asks to go to the garden and see if Chicken Butt and Mable (that is what she has named the chickens) have layed an egg, and she picks what she wants to eat and anything you give to Parker he eats. Soon we will be planting for the winter. April 22

Happy Birthday Popo

On Saturday we went to Reno for Davids 70th birthday, very low key just close family which was very nice to relax, talk and had lots of laughs. We took family photos everyone looked great and i cant wait to see them. We all gave David 3 hours of helicopter time, which he cant wait to use.

Day After

The whole family crashed at David and Patricia's. Their were air mattress here and their, cribs we slept out in the trailer,Sharon and Bob slept in their truck, it was perfect just enough room for everyone and keep the party going the next day. We had doughnuts and coffee in the morning, the kids made stepping stones for Popo, we all visited some more the kids played and everyone headed home in the late afternoon. It was really a special weekend to be surrounded by great family we really wish we can do it again soon.

Swim Lessons

The local community center is walking distance from our house. Parker's first year he really enjoyed himself playing in the water and testing his limits, he really surprised me because hes my baby and just turned 1 (when Bridgitt started she was 18 months) so when he would blow bubbles or go under water i was so proud. Bridgitts third year but her first doing it without me the first week was hard and getting use too the teachers and she didn't want to go under water but the second week she was putting herself under and was looking forward to learning how to back float. She has another session that is the next two weeks which is at a different time so different teachers and kids but today she walked away with the teacher and didn't even think twice its amazing to see he grow!
